A brand new MMO is on the way! Chrono Odyssey is an upcoming open-world MMORPG developed by NPIXEL and published by Kakao Games. Set in the expansive world of Setera, the game focuses on immersive exploration, dynamic combat, and a unique time-manipulation mechanic.
Chrono Odyssey Release Date
Initially announced in 2020, Chrono Odyssey was expected to launch in 2024. However, according to recent updates from Kakao Games, the global release is now scheduled for Q4 2025. A Closed Beta Test is planned for the first half of 2025.

What Platforms Will Chrono Odyssey Be Playable on?
Chrono Odyssey is set to be a cross-platform game, launching on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S!
The game previously also had plans for a mobile version, but this has been cancelled to focus on development for PC and consoles.
What Makes Chrono Odyssey Unique?
Chrono Odyssey aims to build on the traditional MMO experience, while remaining faithful to its roots. The game will feature the usual bells and whistles of MMOs – items, skills, dungeons, raids, and much more, but it will also feature some unique elements! Here are a few things the game is bringing to the table:
- Time Manipulation Mechanics – Players can control time to gain advantages during combat or solve puzzles.
- Dynamic Combat System – The game features dynamic, action combat with six distinct classes available on launch.
- Expansive Open World – Chrono Odyssey’s world, Setera, features diverse biomes, real-time events, open-world activities, and much more.
Overall, time manipulation definitely looks to be the most unique feature, with trailers already showing players freezing monsters in time. It’ll be interesting to see how this comes into play in both group play and PvP combat.
